My Path

I was born on October 27, 1947, in Berne/Switzerland and brought up in different countries, learning several languages in the process. After finishing my university studies in languages and literatures with a PhD from The Pennsylvania State University, I returned to Switzerland with my husband and became a college teacher, and soon also the mother of a son.

Dreams had always been an interest of mine, but there was little time for dreaming in those busy years of building a family and a career. An illness gave me a few months of leave, and that is when I started a Jungian analysis, studying dreams seriously now. This slowly led to a change in career, based on a deepening involvement with the spiritual path.

I also studied Inner Relationship Focusing with Ann Weiser Cornell in Berkeley, CA and became a Focusing Trainer, which enabled me to synthesize Jungian dreamwork with the experiential dreamwork of Focusing and the classical Sufi teachings about dreams. Dreams became a way of life and a daily and nightly occupation.
